Why Instagram does not allow clickable links in posts

Instagram limits links in posts to keep users in the app. Neither captions nor comments turn URLs into tappable links. The native exceptions are bio links (up to 5), Stories with the Link sticker, Reels (via Stories), and action buttons for business accounts.
